Cool crisp morning! We brought out the hat and gloves again as it was considerably colder than the past two weeks of stairs at the football stadium. Biggest stair party to date - we had 5! Mr. Reliable aka...Rick was there of course. We were also joined by Curt Johnston, my student and friend from St. Ambrose, Lindsay Caes, and her friend Chirag (Cheech). These three were first timers on the stairs and did extremely well. The first few times Rick and I did these we stopped at 30-40. Curt did 60! We warned him to stretch his quads today - he might be a little sore :o) Cheech and Lindsay were not much further behind - they actually had to leave a little earlier but they were awesome! Lindsay decided to mix some running in with her stair climbing. Rick and I finished 61 trips up - 5 sets of 10 and a final set of 11. It was dark most of the time but toward the end the sun below the horizon shed light on the bleachers and we could feel the energy of morning upon us. Jumer's Tower at 5 am tomorrow morning (Wednesday) - text me if you are interested in joining 563-343-3909. We'll take on at least 25 trips up the tower, maybe more :o)
